Children and Young People Counselling and Psychotherapy
At Your Space Counselling and Psychotherapy, I provide a calming, safe, and non-judgmental space where children and young people can feel supported. Together, we will build trust and a strong therapeutic relationship, allowing them to express their worries, thoughts, and feelings freely.
Sessions are available both face-to-face in Bristol or online. For more information on counselling, including details on fees, please refer to the 'About Counselling' section.
I am committed to adapting my approach to meet the individual needs of each client, regardless of age. I offer flexibility in my methods, including incorporating creative strategies when appropriate to make the counselling experience more engaging and effective.
Working with children and young people comes naturally to me, and I am particularly passionate about helping them feel heard, supported, and empowered to navigate difficult feelings, thoughts, and challenges.
With over 10 years of extensive training and experience, I have worked with children and young people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them in a variety of settings and roles. This breadth of experience has deepened my understanding and ability to meet their unique needs.

Creative Tools:
Examples of 'creative' tools that I sometimes use in the counselling space when appropriate and if a client agrees to working in this way:
Why creative tools?
Not everyone feels comfortable talking one-on-one during counselling, and that's completely okay. Creative tools can help ease any pressure and provide a different way to express thoughts and feelings. For some, being visual or creative comes naturally, making these tools a valuable option.
Fifty minutes can feel like a long time to sit, especially for children and young people, and incorporating creative methods can make the session more engaging. Flexibility is key, and I always adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
Using creative tools can be fun and therapeutic, making it easier to explore emotions and express what's on the mind. In fact, everyone—regardless of age—can benefit from this approach to self-expression.
